GENEVIEVE WATT – Beauty Botanicals – Life After Cancer

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Welcome, and thank you for visiting. These terms explain how you can use our website at https://genevievewatt.com and the terms on which we sell our products to you. Please read them before placing an order – by placing an order, you agree to these terms. We've tried to keep them clear and friendly. If anything is unclear, please ask.

These terms are for consumers buying for their own personal use. Nothing in them affects your legal rights as a consumer.

1. About us

This shop is run by Genevieve Watt, a sole trader trading as GENEVIEVE WATT.

If we need to contact you, we'll use the email address, phone number or postal address you gave us with your order.

2. Our products

  • We sell botanical beauty, hair care and wellbeing products, and the book Cancer and the Four F's by Genevieve Watt.
  • We've tried to show our products as accurately as possible. Colours on screen may vary slightly, and because many of our products are made with natural botanical ingredients, their colour, scent and texture may vary a little between batches. This is normal and isn't a fault.
  • Product sizes, weights and ingredients are listed on the product page and packaging. Please always read the label before use.
  • Products marked "coming soon" are not yet available to buy. Descriptions of future products may change before they launch.

3. Using our cosmetic and hair care products safely

Our products are made to be gentle, but everyone's skin and scalp is different – and we know many of our customers are living with, or recovering from, cancer and its treatment. Please take care of yourself:

  • For external use only. Do not swallow. Avoid contact with the eyes; if a product gets into your eyes, rinse well with cool water.
  • Always patch test first. Before using a product for the first time, apply a small amount to a small area of skin, such as the inside of your elbow or behind your ear, and wait 48 hours. Don't use the product if you notice any redness, itching, swelling or other irritation.
  • Check the ingredients. Please read the full ingredients list on the product page and packaging, especially if you have allergies or sensitivities (for example to nuts, plant extracts or essential oils).
  • Stop using a product if it causes irritation or discomfort, and seek medical advice if the reaction doesn't settle.
  • Don't use on broken, sore or inflamed skin, open wounds, or healing surgical sites.
  • If you are having or have recently had cancer treatment – such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, surgery or targeted therapy – or if you have a sensitive scalp or skin condition, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, please speak to your doctor, oncology team, specialist nurse or pharmacist before using our products, particularly on skin treated with radiotherapy.
  • Keep out of reach of children. Store products as shown on the label and use them within the period shown on the packaging after opening.

Not medical advice

Our products are cosmetic products. They are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition, including cancer or the side effects of cancer treatment. Nothing on our website, product labels, emails or social media is medical advice or a substitute for advice from a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional. Any personal stories or customer reviews reflect individual experiences, and results can vary from person to person.

4. About the book

Cancer and the Four F's by Genevieve Watt is a personal account of one person's experience. It is shared to offer comfort, understanding and hope. It is not medical, psychological, financial or other professional advice, and it isn't a substitute for advice from your medical team or other qualified professionals. Please always talk to your doctor or care team about your own health and treatment.

If you need support, you can speak to your GP, call NHS 111, or contact Macmillan Cancer Support free on 0808 808 00 00. In an emergency, always call 999.

5. Placing an order

  • When you place an order, we'll send you an email acknowledging it. This doesn't mean your order has been accepted.
  • Our acceptance of your order takes place when we email you to confirm it has been dispatched. At that point, a contract between you and us is formed.
  • We may be unable to accept your order – for example if an item is out of stock, if we can't deliver to your address, or if there is an obvious error in the price or description. If so, we'll let you know and won't charge you, or we'll refund you in full if you've already paid.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.
  • Please check your order carefully before submitting it. If you spot a mistake, contact us as soon as possible at wattgenevieve49@gmail.com.

6. Prices and payment

  • All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP).
  • Delivery charges are shown at checkout, and the total price you'll pay, including delivery, will always be shown before you confirm your order.
  • The price you pay is the price shown when you placed your order. We may change our prices from time to time, but this won't affect orders we've already accepted.
  • If we discover an obvious pricing error (for example, an item priced at a fraction of its real price), we'll contact you before dispatch to let you choose whether to go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
  • We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, such as debit and credit cards. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers, and we never see or store your full card details. Payment is taken when you place your order.
  • Discount codes can only be used as described in the offer, can't be exchanged for cash, and one code can be used per order unless we say otherwise.

7. Delivery

Our Shipping Policy explains our delivery options, prices, timescales and what happens if a parcel is lost or delayed. It forms part of these terms. Your order becomes your responsibility once it's delivered to you, or to the person or safe place you've asked the courier to leave it with. You'll own the products once we've received your payment in full.

8. Your right to cancel, returns and faulty items

Our Refund & Returns Policy explains your 14-day right to cancel and what happens if an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect. It forms part of these terms. In summary:

  • You normally have 14 days after delivery to change your mind and cancel your order.
  • For health and hygiene reasons, this right doesn't apply to cosmetic, skin care and hair care products once their protective seal has been broken after delivery.
  • If a product is faulty, damaged or not as described, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, whether or not the product has been opened.

9. Our responsibility to you

  • If we don't meet these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen, or if we both knew it might happen when the contract was made.
  • We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products (including the right to receive products that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose), and for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
  • Our products are for personal and domestic use only. We're not responsible to you for any loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
  • We're not responsible for any reaction or harm caused by using a product in a way that isn't in line with its label, its instructions or section 3 of these terms – for example, not carrying out a patch test, using a product after a reaction, or using it on broken skin. This doesn't limit your rights if a product is faulty or unsafe.

10. Events outside our control

We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, courier or postal disruption, strikes, or supplier problems. If this happens, we'll contact you as soon as possible and do what we can to reduce the delay. If there's a risk of a substantial delay, you can contact us to cancel your order and receive a full refund for anything you've paid for but not received.

11. Using our website

  • You may use our website for your own personal, non-commercial use.
  • Please don't misuse the website – for example, by trying to gain unauthorised access, introducing viruses or other harmful material, or using it in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent.
  • We try to keep the website available and up to date, but we can't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may update or change the website at any time.
  • Our website may link to other websites. We're not responsible for their content or how they use your information.

12. Reviews and comments

If you post a review, comment or photo on our website or social media, please keep it honest, respectful and lawful. By sharing it with us, you give us permission to display and use it on our website and social media in connection with our shop (we'll credit you by first name or username only). We may remove any content that we think is offensive, misleading, unlawful or breaches someone else's rights. Please don't share personal medical details that you wouldn't want to be public.

13. Intellectual property

All content on our website – including text, photographs, logos, product names, designs and the content of Cancer and the Four F's – belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission. You're welcome to share links to our website and posts.

14. Your personal information

We'll only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

15. Complaints

If you're unhappy with anything, please tell us at wattgenevieve49@gmail.com or 07429 990751 and we'll do our best to put things right quickly. We aim to reply within 5 working days. If we can't resolve your complaint, you can contact Citizens Advice for free, independent advice.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how we run our shop. The version that applies to your order is the one shown on our website when you placed it.

17. Other important terms

  • We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We'll tell you if this happens, and it won't affect your rights. You may only transfer your rights to someone else with our written agreement.
  • These terms are between you and us. No other person has any right to enforce them.
  • If a court decides that any part of these terms is invalid, the rest will continue to apply.
  • If we don't insist straight away that you do something you're required to do under these terms, or we delay taking action, that doesn't mean you don't have to do it, and it won't stop us taking action later.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can bring legal proceedings in either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can bring legal proceedings in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.
